SPIRITUAL TITBITS!

Try to give more time to your spiritual practices and less time to useless talking,useless thinking and restlessness of the mind. Then you will do your meditation better with greater intensity. You will also do your work in a more balanced way. Some are too much engrossed in work. Some give themselves up to spiritual practice exclusively,but without success. Work and worship must go hand in hand. Don't shirk duty. Inner and outer life must be balanced. Transmute your work into worship consecrate all work to God.

Adjustment is necessary in life. Adjustment is one of the greater essences in one's life. It brings one to a higher level. As all of us are spiritual entities dwelling in this body,it is always good to use to body in a better way to progress in spiritual advancement.

The body should be regard as a house. The house should be always clean. One of the ways to clean it is to meditate. Set a specific time daily for that purpose. Reading scriptural passage or reciting mantra with awareness. It's also another way of cleansing our body. Always remember we are all spiritual beings spiritual entities dwelling in the body. The principal idea is the body is an instrument a temple a sanctuary,we must use the body in a better way . It is to be looked upon as a house of god.

We may temporarily retire from the world,even if this be a little selfish and then return and meet others in a higher mood. All this is just as important as all the other daily practice of us. You cannot serve unless you have collected something to give others.

Similarly spiritual practice must be done at a fixed hour and never put aside. The constant practice of our spiritual activities develops of out will power. The purpose of all there is the conscious control of all out mental process.A conscious life is an interesting life. Most of us are half awake and half dreaming. Unconscious celebration must become clear,definite thinking . Then alone is life worth living. Minimize your body consciousness.

Have mental freshness ,always have the mind of a youngster. Be a child again. Be born a second time. It is imperative to have mental freshness. Cultivate in consciously . Try to be born in tune with the divine. The waters of life are flowing . Open the channels! Open the windows! Off the bad air! Let there be freshness within always.

It is diffcult to find the necessary sense of propotion in dealing with others. Be strong so that others cannot take advantage of you. Don't be touchy,sensitive and nervous. The right perspective must be developed in every spiritual aspirant. Take things as they are. Have adjusment for the sake of peace and think that we have to deal with human personalities. We often prick others. Some people emante good,calm,peaceful vibrations,others bad vibrations and thoughts.

Try to be true to yourself and true to God,then it becomes easier to be true to others. Look upon god as the only reality and learn to look upon all others depending on him for their existence. You must do what you ought to do under each circumstance . But don't be like weathercocks. Don't go on shifting your moods and attitudes. Don't allow yourself top be upset,your life should be regulated by your ideas.Sometimes we try to lean on others too much . Wr look up to them too much ,but human beings are too such frail supports. Some people have their centre of gravity outside,instead of inside. Have your centre gravity within you.

The higher self must be made the centre of your personality ,but then there is a danger,we become self-centred,egocentric.So we must think that the self is a part of God,the centre in us is the centre of a vast space. The point of contact with God is in us. Hold on your centre of consciousness that extends all around it. Some are egocentric at first and then become cosmocentric. At the begining of spiritual practices some aspirants become self centred for a time.

Then they have to do some selfless work to counteract it. Meditation and prayer,when properly done,will also help us against becoming self centred and selfish by enabling us to rise above out little self. We should never attempt to grow at the expense of others.

5 Ways to Stay Positive in Negative Times!

Life is a series of ups and downs. It may seem like some people have it easier than others, but that’s rarely the case. Most people have their share of problems and their successes.The ones who get through the problems to make their life more successful, though, are those who have some common traits. And, with the economy the way it is, a successful person will be looking at how to adapt to the situation and capitalize on the times as they are not as they wish they would be. So i would like to share with all of you the 5 ways to stay positive in negative times. Below are the steps.

1. Stay involved.

As easy as it is to throw your hands in the air and sit on the sofa, that does no one any good. Look at new opportunities. Learn a skill and look for ways to hedge your bets. Just like buying an undervalued house in a good neighborhood was a good investment, you can find ways to profit even in the worst times. Look for them.

2. Put more in.

Rather than sit and wait to see what was going to happen with the recession .Improving your home will improve your life; trust me on this one!

3. Be detached.

Feng shui is about balance, and where does a balance pivot? It balances in the center – neither negative nor positive. Learn to watch the news with detachment about the rumblings of the sky falling and don’t fall into the trap of believing that the sky really is falling. Detachment will keep you balanced in the face of hysteria of either the positive or the negative kind.

4. Seek out opportunities.

Continue to make efforts on your behalf and don’t give in to apathy. Learn to be invaluable at work and to your clients and learn a new work skill. Find something unique that you can do – or a unique offer or twist on what you already do to improve your prospects.

5. Be daring, be BOLD.

The worst thing you can do is sit on the sidelines like a cardboard cutout in a store window that watches the parade go past you.  There will always be crises and catastrophes. Enjoy the fish every chance you get.

Our Purses and Handbags are important in our lives.

How does one place the purse and handbag?

Most of our purses and hadbags are important items in our lives as it it where we store our hard earnes money. The purse should be able to attract prositive energy and ensure that your wealth is kept intact and is able to attract more money. It is only fitting that we keep these purses and handbags devoid of any rubbish and unwanted material. So here i will be sharing with you how to organize your purses and what colour of handbags you should used according to Vasthu (Feng shui)

It’s an indispensable tool, a valuable fashion asset and a source of all manner of important things like breath mints, a safety pin to fix a broken zipper, or keys to entertain a toddler. A woman’s purse is a collector of things – and sometimes those things are downright unhealthful.
According to recent studies, a woman’s purse ranks as one of the top ten germiest items we come in contact with on a regular basis. Ironically, a woman’s handbag is also the place where she carries her wealth and financial power.

Is your purse a symbol of wealth or is it a danger to your health?
Maybe it’s a little of both.

Interestingly, for women, a purse is often a symbol of the self.
An attractive, organized purse makes us feel better and more in control of our lives. When our purse is a mess and we can’t find anything, we feel lost and our bank accounts often reflect that scattered state.Simply put, a purse with good feng shui is a purse that is organized, a handy resource, and supports its principal purpose: holding your money and financial wherewithal.

Read these tips to get your purse in tip top feng shui shape — and make you more prosperous!

1. Elevate your purse.

You’d never see a man put his wallet on the floor, yet women put their purses on the floor all the time – in the restroom, at restaurants, at work. Always keep your purse elevated and off the floor. And never, ever, put it on the floor of the restroom. Hang it on a door hinge or the corner of the door. A great idea is to buy a purse hanger for those times when you want to put your purse down, but not on a floor.

2. Keep it clean.

Resist the temptation to throw gum or food wrappers, bits of paper or used tissues into your purse. What does it say when you carry trash in the same place as your money? Garbage should go in a trashcan and never into a purse.

3. Mind the change.

Avoid throwing change into your purse where it will fall to the bottom of the bag. This is disrespectful to money. If it’s too inconvenient to put change into a zippered coin compartment in your wallet, buy an old fashioned coinpurse that makes collecting change easy – and getting it out for tolls or parking meters — convenient too.

4. Be prepared.

Carry a small safety pin, a tiny container of dental floss, a small notepad with pen, a small pocketknife, highlighter pen and bottle of eye drops. Little items that make your purse a point of refuge in the world make you love your purse even more. Better still, when someone has a broken zipper they will forever remember you and your purse of wonders! Lastly, carry a $100 bill, but don’t spend it. Having a purse (and some cash) at the ready helps you be prepared for financial surprises.

5. Activate your purse.

If you see auspicious purse charms or tassels put some of these on your purse. These hangers are great for pumping up the feng shui volume of your purse and activating it for wealth. Choose hangers that appeal to you and that look especially pretty and coordinated. Yes, pretty is good feng shui!

6. Buy thoughtfully.

Like a bra, never buy a purse just for the fashion name or for how it looks. Make sure the purse hangs on your shoulder comfortably, and like a good bra, stays there. Even better, find a purse with enough compartments to hold small items like pens, your cell phone, and other items you need to get to quickly. Make sure you can easily close your purse for security sake, that you can find what you need and that the purse is working for you, not the other way around.

7. Use a key keeper.

These small hooks fit onto your purse and keep you from fishing around for your keys, which can endanger you if you’re trying to find them at night in an empty parking lot. By hanging on the edge of your purse, you can access your keys faster and more easily. This says you can find your way financially too.

8. Avoid wallet clutter.

Get a wallet that helps you stay organized with your money. Your money should be easily arranged, not rammed into a wad, and your credit cards should be easily accessible. Also, have only as many credit cards as you absolutely need. Too many credit cards becomes a financial trap, a credit score nightmare, and, well, clutter. When the clerks ask if you want one of the store-name-credit cards, tell them “No thanks; I’m cutting down on wallet clutter.” Who can argue with that? Lastly, make sure your wallet has more room for money and less space for credit cards.

9. Choose your wealth color.

Selecting a purse in a color that resonates with your personal wealth energy will help stimulate your wealth and money-making opportunities. If you don’t want to buy a purse in your personal wealth colors, It is best to use a bag or purse of bright /lucky coloues to energize the circulation of money.

10. Pursue love.

The No. 1 feng shui rule for your purse? Don’t buy it unless you absolutely love it – and then treat it that way. Keep it clean, organized, and off the floor. Your money mojo will be activated and you’ll have more to spend and save. Show your purse some love!

*Whenever you receive money make a point to say a simple thank you to the universe!

Relaxing Tension In Life

Why is there so much of greed for sensation? Should i renounce sensation or indulge in it?

When one is in a state of tension for a long duration.there is an inner void. This void is life dust in your eyes. Your effort is to remove the dust from your eyes,as it is alien to your body. Similarly,incompletion is alien to you and it is natural that you put effort to remove it. You attempt to remove inner incompletion through indulgence. You feel different sensations would give you completion.

The greed for sensations increase in completion. The desire for more and more makes you wanting being rather than a complete being. During sleep there is no wanting as you are complete.

Please understand that it does not mean condemning your sense organs. Keep them alive and pure. You must realise that sensations are fine as long you do not get addicted to them. An addiction happens in igroance.Such ignorance spills through sense organs too.

How do we relax tension in life?

Learn the art of balancing life. Do not put all your eggs into once basket. Learn to open your body centre through exercise,yoga,deep breathing and learn to open up your mind. There is always a joy when you learn and when you keep your mind open to new possibilities. Learn to open up your bliss centre. Reflect on this A prince met Lord Buddha. Lord buddha's presence and being inspired him to be a monk. The prince was a great musician and led a luxurious life. After initiation he went to the other extreme. He renounced everything. He started fasting vigorously and walked on thors. Budhha enquired,if the strands of the guitar are very loose,can you play good music

'No replied the Prince.

If the strands of the guitar are very tight,can you still play good music?'

'No replied the Prince again.

Don't go to exteremes,it only through right tuning of the strands that you can play good music. Similarly balance your life well and automatically music would flow into your life advised Lord Buddha.

What steps do i take in order to relax tension in life?

Mostly tension emerge from the way your mind languages you experience. For example a student runs several miles and enjoys running but it is made a punishment,running create tension. Where does the tension come from? It is through the interpretations in one's mind.

Observe a sufer the stronger the waves the more he enjoys it. He decides that he is going to enjoy the waves while surfing. When waves are strong he is totally present in the moment. There are no interfering thoughts in him. In such space something in him makes him very alove to the life around him.

Learn to be in the present. Be aware of the present in total. There is joy being in the present.Do not get lost either in the past or future. Learn to live from the higher self and not from the lower self . The higher self encourages you as it is filled with positiveness. The lower self is an interfering self. It discourages you.It acts more like an obstacles.

Learn to relax your body.Learn to relax your mind.When thoughts emerge,see them as a wonder. See the beauty of your thoughts. Do not fight with them.See them like a play.Slowly you create a synergy with your thoughts.

Whenever possible he without thoughts.Learn the art of being empty.Do not verbalise an experince. Thus your mind relaxes.

Is there a difference between an ambitious attitude and a meditative attitude?

Yes.

There is a difference . It is like darknees and light. Ambitious keep us always in a whirlpool of tensions with the hope that we will be happy. It wants us to be like others. Or it wants us to be better than others and in the process one becomes bitter.

Can my house be life that of rich woman? or can my house be better than that of my neighbour? You are always lost in comparison but life is simple. Ambition make it complex. Only if you stop the greedy game of going ahead of others,can make you happy.

A meditative attitude is very different. Meditation awakens your awareness. Once your awareness is of high order,you realise the foolishness of comparison,you would not allow others success to define you failure. You would see the beauty of what is and not get lost in what should be.

You would see the uniqueness of yourself. Everyone is unique.Everyone is comparable,you would learn the art of seeing beauty even in imperfection,you would participate in the miracle of life than being busy in judging life. You would listen to the music of life ,you would listen to the mantra of life or song of life. Your listening would be with you.

Heart without this inner and outer music will not be heard. With this,your perception awakens to newer heights.

  • Learn to look at life differently
  • Listen to the song of life
  • Listen to the music of life
  • Let your heart open and bloom
  • Let your preceptions see the glory of the moment
  • Let your life be the song of the divine
  • Learn to look at your difficulties as divine surgeries.
  • Learn to convert your worry into wisdom,learn to convert frustration into fascination and learn to be more happy than right.
  • Learn to be a wise parents /childrens
  • Learn to make your marriage a miracle or togetherness.

Sri Shirdi Sai Baba's Kafni Cloth!

Sri Shirdi Sai Baba's Kafni cloth

"Whenever Sai Baba's Kafni or Langot were worn out or were torn,
he never gave it to anybody, rather he used to burn them to ashes in Dhuni.
and it was not compulsory that the clothes of Sai Baba had to be old in order to burn them.
Sometimes he even used to burn clothes which were used for a short time & sometimes he would repair the worn out clothes and use them.
When Sai Baba's clothes were torn, Tatya Patil used to tear them more by his fingers.

If Sai Baba wanted to take any devotee high up in the matter of spiritually, then that lucky person got Sai Baba’s old clothes as Prasad.
The clothes of Sai Baba had immense powers in it. Once Sai Baba gifted His Kafni to Mhalasapati.
The result was that till his death Mhalasapati lived like a Sanyasi while also taking care of his family and social attachments.

In another instance, Sai Baba gave his Kafni to a devotee named Muktaram.
As the Kafni was dirty, Muktaram washed it and placed it in Wada (Dharamshala) to dry. After this, Muktaram went for Baba's Darshan.
Vamanrao was present where the Kafni was kept for drying in Kaka Saheb Dixits Wada.
A voice came from the Kafni - "See, Muktaram has brought Me here and hanged upside down."

Vamanrao immediately took the Kafni and wore it himself. After wearing Kafni, Vamanrao went to Dwarkamai.
Sai Baba got angry when He saw the Kafni worn by Vamanrao. But Vamanrao was determined to take Sanyas when time came
and after this incident Vamanrao went high up in the matter of spirituality.

On Tuesday 15th October`1918, the day Baba took Samadhi,
an old Cloth Bag that Baba never allowed anyone to touch was opened and in it a Green Kafni and a Green Cap were found,
which were given to him by Kasi Ram, the tailor.
Baba had worn them also but later preferred white robes only.
And, along with other items, this bag was also placed with Baba inside his Samadhi.

Nowdays, Baba's other regular worn Kafni is kept at the "Sai Baba Museum" in Dixit Wada at Shirdi."

Experiences of the devotees who were cured from diseases

Dear Sai Devotees,

OM SRI SAI RAM, I would like to share my recent experience with Sai Devotees about how Shri Sai pulled my friend from a very critical health condition.

It was in the month of April 2000, I called my friend’s home in Canada to know that he is in intensive care Unit (for two months) with a massive third Cardiac arrest followed with multiple ailments. Doctors have not given any Hope and are waiting to pass the critical period. I rushed to their house with Sai’s picture and Udi (sacred ash) in my pocket and praying Baba. I went to hospital with his spouse and two little kids. I silently prayed in the Heart that Sai if you are Here, You must Help to revive the condition of this patient.

I took out the Sai Picture and Udi from my pocket, which was then mailed from one of the ardent Sai devotee in New Jersey, USA I requested the ailing patient’s spouse to place the Sai Picture on his chest and sincerely pray Lord Sai "Please reconcile the condition of my Husband and I shall be ever indebted to you". The lady did prayers and took a pinch of Udi and put it in his mouth. The patient was on intravenous and Oxygen pipes then with closed eyes. I prayed in the heart of mine "O Lord Sai, please shower your richest blessing on this traumatic and depressed family. Reassure your faith and miracles on this patient." Doctors are still waiting for countdown at this hour.

Trust me, the miracle of Sai happened on the next day, the patient was able to move and open his eyes slightly, which gave everyone a ray of hope for survival. Doctors declared that critical moment is gone now. He should revive in a couple of days. Since then I kept on inquiring about the condition of the patient, One week later I could directly speak to the patient in Hospital over the phone and was glad to hear his Voice once again, "Ravi I am improving now."

If BABA had not showered his Blessings, the whole family would have been in distress by now.

Now the patient is at home and living a normal life with slight care and supervision on and off from the specialists. However, those moments are unforgettable for me in the Hospital.

PRAY SAI THAT RICHEST BLESSINGS BE WITH HIS FAMILY FOREVER AND ALSO SAI DEVOTEES.
Ravinder Thota

            ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I always believed in God, but ever since I started believing in Sai Baba, I feel I have become a much better person. It was 10th September 97, and my father had a massive heart attack. It shook up the entire family. It was Wednesday morning. The very next day, I went to Shirdi Sai Baba temple at Chhatarpur, and went and prayed for my father’s good health. My mother joined me at the temple and both of us prayed to Baba for his good health. After visiting the temple my mother and me went back to the hospital to meet my father and we put the Vibhuti which we got from the temple on my fathers chest, and again prayed to Baba to take care of him. Since that day, my father has been doing well in health and I started going to the Sai Baba temple frequently. In fact I even believe that I have had Baba's Darshan. In October 99, I was going to the Sai Baba temple in Chatterpur and just as I had washed my hands to go inside the temple, I saw a thin man just dressed like Baba in a dhoti staring at me, with that same calm look on his face and a little smile. For a second I could not take my mind off him and kept looking back. As I went inside the temple I just could not concentrate, since I could not believe what I had seen outside, and quickly came outside the temple after doing my prayers inside. I went out and looked at the same place where I had seen that man a few minutes ago but there was nobody there. I asked a few people around if they had seen anybody dressed like
that with that appearance sometime back and they all said no. I told this incident to a lot of my friends and they all do not believe that it was Baba, but till date I have a firm belief that I saw Baba that day and on that account consider myself lucky.
I have never been to Shirdi but I would really like to go there and meet Baba. I have a firm faith in Baba and believe that he is watching me all the time in all I do and he has always been with me whenever I needed him.
I used to love going to the Sai Baba temple at Chatterpur in Delhi but I just moved to Washington in march this year and miss going there. Most of the temples in this area do not have Baba’s Murti. I really wish that I can see Baba again very soon.
Have faith in him, and he will lead you through.
Jai Sai ram.
OM SHRI SACHHIDANAND SADGURU SAI NATH MAHARAJ KI JAI.
I was diagnosed with fluid in the right lung- mixing BABA'S Udi (sacred ash) with water and drinking the same every night along with prayer's to BABA by my mother, wife and me cured me from the disease. The further tests envisaged after thirty days with general all-round improvement.
Similarly last year when I was down with malaria my platelets count dropped to dangerous levels and prayer to Baba along with his Udi mixed with water restored the count to above normal levels
I can never forget SAI BABA who saved my daughter who had lost her walking power due attack of paraplegia (bone TB) in backbone. Doctors at AIIMS New Delhi had declared that she could survive only after operation of the backbone considered to be dangerous with lesser chances of success.
A friend devotee of Sai Baba for many years came to know about my daughters operation and visited my daughter when I had gone home to fetch breakfast for my daughter. He met me at home and informed that he had been to my daughter and gave Sai Bhabuti (sacred ash) brought from Shirdi and also prayed for her recovery. When I went to hospital in the afternoon my daughter was all smiles and laughing as also other patients. After applying Bhabuti she said she felt like pulling her left leg and little after right one. Both the legs started moving after remaining almost dead for 4 months. Doctors came and declared that only God has to cure her and their operation would not be necessary. It became news in their AIIMS and people did come to us for similar blessings. We advised them to pray to SAI Nath and assured them it was HIS Chamatkar (miracle). My daughter was had lost the job due to illness. Gradually she was discharged from AIIMS in a week and brought home where was bed ridden for over two years. And ultimately with blessing of SAI Baba she regained her strength and we had entire family gone to pilgrimage at Shirdi to thank HIM for his blessings and saving a human being. Now that she is married and has two children I remember Sai's blessings and have been to Shirdi for getting his blessings.
JAI SAI NATH.
For my daughter she keeps fast every Thursday goes to Lodhi Road Sai Mandir without fail and is leading a happy life. How can we dare to forget HIM?
             ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

In the month of October 1997 I suffered from very serious pain. I was unable to walk properly. I could not walk fast due to severe pain. I used to walk very slowly like an old man at the young age of 27. I consulted top surgeon for my problem, but my problem could not be diagnosed. I could not walk continuously even for a short distance of 200 meters. I had to leave my job in the month of June 1998, as my pain was very severe. I was almost bedridden. Due to this problem I had a lot of tension and all sorts of terrifying thoughts would come to me. I was very much afraid and I did not know what to do. Sometimes I would feel that I may die and would worry very much about my mother who is totally dependent on me.
Ever since my pain started in 1997 I was continuously repeating the name of Sai Baba throughout day and night. As doctor did not have any idea regarding my problem, I tried to find relief for my pain through other sources. I was told that I was suffering from Black Magic. I spent lot of money for curing myself of the black magic, but my pain was always there.
At last, when I visited Shirdi, I decided that from now on I would rely only on my god Sai Baba. I cried in front of Baba's Samadhi and asked for His forgiveness. I drank a bottle full of Baba's Samadhi water and applied it on the area of pain. This was in the year 1999. Today its May 2001 and my pain has reduced by 50%. For the last 3 and a half years I am continuously repeating Sai Baba's name day and night, and this is the reason why I am alive today. I am confident that though it may take more time, Sai Baba will fully cure me.

There are numerous occasions on which Baba answered our prayers. One of those when my nephew as a 5 year old boy was struggling with a hairline fracture in the knee. Doctor told us to admit the boy in Hospital and recommended complete bed rest.
We took the boy to Baba's temple and applied UDI to the knee. After 2 days we again took the boy to the hospital thinking that the boy would be admitted in hospital. Doctor noticed a great improvement in the knee and the sent us back with few medicines. The boy was normal and healthy soon.

            ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I come from Assam and as a child I grew up hearing a lot about Satya Sai Baba, my mother being his devotee, but little about Shirdi Baba. The first time I actually came to know about Baba was on a visit to my neighbor’s house. Devout Assamese Muslims, I was surprised to see the photo of Baba and incense sticks burning in front of it. Mrs. Hussain explained to my mother that she was a chronic heart patient who was surviving with Baba's grace. It so happened that after her first daughter was born, when the family was on visit to the States, she had to undergo a massive heart surgery, following which the doctors gave her little time and absolutely no hope of surviving any more pregnancies. It was then she took to Baba and came back to India. When we met her she was already the mother of two strapping sons and though pale and weak still had enough strength to praise Baba's grace. She continued to live as our favorite neighbor for many years and by the time she finally passed away, her daughter had already been happily married and her sons were well through college. It was then I thought that may be her Baba had been with this devoted mother all through her brave fight. But I was yet to discover Baba myself.
After my marriage I found myself in a family of Sai devotees and I began visiting the Sai temple in Lodhi road, New Delhi. Three years after my marriage I suffered a miscarriage and the doctors told me conception could result in tragic consequences again. In the winter of 1996 my husband took his parents to visit Shirdi. One morning as he was sitting on a bench in the temple complex, an old man, barefoot in a washed -out dhoti, came up and sat next to him. My husband thought he looked tired and in need of money and so emptied all the cash he had in his pocket and told him "Baba, take this and buy something for yourself. This is all I have with me, I hope it will do for now". The old man looked at him, smiled and replied "When you have your son, don't forget to come here, your Baba will be waiting for you". My husband was surprised because the man had not even asked him if he was married.
Within a month we immigrated to Canada and I was in a poor state following a botched up gall bladder operation. There were wounds oozing with blood from ruptured stitched all over my stomach and a team of Canadian medical experts could not fathom out what was going wrong, as all results were coming back normal. For 8 months from Feb 97(our arrival) to Sept 97 I thus suffered several minor surgeries and continuing battery of tests. It was then in Sept '97 I met a devotee of Baba - Guruma. I spoke to her about my woes and she blessed me and told me Baba would heal me. I was skeptical as I was losing hope but continued to pray to Him. Within 14 days of Guruma's words the last of my stitched, which had erupted a week back in a blaze of pus and blood, miraculously closed up and suddenly the trauma was over. All the stitches had healed and there was no infection anywhere anymore. Then to both our surprise in October'97 I conceived and my son, Neor Bhuyan Tiku, was born to almost a pain free delivery on 12th of July' 98. Though I had suffered from gestation diabetes and high blood pressure during my pregnancy and my doctor had been very apprehensive, there were absolutely no complications. The baby has today grown up to be a bonny two-year-old protected by Baba's grace and is awaiting his first visit to Baba's Shirdi.
I thank Baba for the change He has brought into my life. Getting to know Him was a blessing for which I will be forever indebted to Him. May the whole world be graced by the knowledge of Baba and may His devotees faith always remain unshaken.
I conclude with a prayer in my mother tongue Assamese..."Sri Sri Saiguru, Tumak mur xaxasra pronam, Joi Guru Sai, Joi Guru Sai". Devyani Bhuyan
My husband had cancer. While going through treatment, he went into semi-coma. He called me and said, I have seen a triangle in the clouds and many white chadars. After that He started going into deep coma and slurpy speech. All the well wisher who was with me at that time, helped me to pray to Sai Baba and we used to put vibuhiti on his forehead everyday in the morning and evening. The day we were told he is no more, we put bhajans of Sai Baba in his ears the whole evening and the following day. On the third day he opened his eyes and also wrote on a piece of paper. After that he recovered, and finally he told us that he had seen Sai Baba’s hand with Om sign making him turn his route and he is back with us. This is our experience and we believe Sai Baba is with us all the time. Sai Baba, You are our mother and father, you are our savior. We pray you always remain with us.
Experiences of the devotees who prayed Baba in desperate times / difficult times / turned their difficulties to Him
Dear Sai Devotees,
Om Shri Sai
Our dearest and most revered Shri Sai Maharaj helped my family through I think one of the greatest ordeals any family can face. During the period of 1994-1996, when we had put up our factory in Madras, we came into great financial problems and my family members into great physical trauma. We never knew, whether the next day, we could see the chimney blowing or we could pay the salaries or buy raw materials. There was a huge pressure from banks and financial institutions and as is the rule of the world no one helps when you are in trouble. But Baba was watching us. Through some friends and some past knowledge about Baba, we turned all our difficulties to him and believe me things, which were impossible to happen, started happening. It is a very long story full of experiences but in a short way I would like to say that Baba saw us through otherwise today we would have probably not been or been on the roads. I don't know whether we have him in our hearts or not, but one thing is for sure, he has us in his hearts. We just have to give him Shradha and Saburi - and the best part is that he helps you here as well- otherwise who are we to give him. Here I would also like to thank my dear friends - Prasanna, Ravi and Priya for turning this inspiration into a reality and making this site happen. I know you would say that it is Baba who did this, yes, but through you.
Jai Sai Ram
During the year 1999, I had faced many difficulties in my family life and when I started praying Great Satguru Sri Shirdi Sai Baba, I am experiencing miracles with Baba in every day life. My total devotion towards Baba for the last one-year has helped me to recover from a great disaster and now I am gradually getting into normal with the grace and blessings of Baba. Here I would like to share my one of recent experiences with Baba is, I got good job in my line (by the way now I am in Auckland, NZ), both of my bosses are Kiwis and devotees of Baba, and they like very much Indian culture. I believe that Baba had sent me to work with like-minded people. For this job I had attended for an interview on Thursday, and on the same day I got appointment. I invite the Sai devotees to contact me, if it is OK for them to share the divine of Great Baba.
Om Sai Sri Sai Jai Jai Sai.
I was worried about my debts as well as I heard that our company might be closed. I was praying to Baba and the next day I received news that there is an increment for me. Then I came and opened my e-mail and saw a mail from Baba that "those who have faith on me I will be there to save you". I was really happy that I received the message from Baba. Really it was wonderful I don’t know how to express my feelings.
Jai Sai Ram.
Baba always helped me at the time of my need. There are many experiences to share with you, but here is the recent one.
I was returning from coaching at 8:30 p.m. with and suddenly my two-wheeler’s tire got punctured and was stopped. I couldn’t find a telephone nearby and there were no streetlights too. At that moment unable to understand what to do, I prayed "BABA HELP ME, PLEASE LET THIS VEHICLE BE ALL RIGHT AND SEND ME SAFELY TO MY HOME." Instantly I had a glance of Baba while my eyes were closed and this filled me with confidence.
Then suddenly I saw a milkman coming in white dress with white cap. I explained my problem to him and he helped me. He was like a messenger of Baba to me. I tried to offer some money to him, which he refused to accept. I safely reached home and thanked Baba for timely help.
May god bless that milkman.
Ours is a small family my dad, mom my wife and me. There are so many experiences where we realized that SAI JI is our driving force and he leads us to our destination.
This is one experience, we owned a shared property in the form of big house in AP with our relatives. We have made considerable investment in it and suddenly our relatives decided to dispose their portion. Our well-invested house was in trouble.
As we were in another city and we decided to dispose that property. To our surprise no one came forward to take that home. As the home remained vacant we were paying loan interests and this put us especially my father in lot of mental trauma and finally our small family was with out peace. Though we’ve been in SAI JI’s worship before this happened, we never realized to pray HIM to pull out of this mental trauma and losses.
My parents daily read the SAI LEELA and SAI asthotharam, with in months (I say DAYS) a good person approached us, and in days we could dispose that house. After this to our surprise a chain of events happened that we bought another home in city and near so SAI JI temple and the whole locale is filled with SAIJI worshippers. MIRACLE.
I got opportunities in further studies, with in a year I got married and after that in short time we got abroad chances thrice and the third one for a job in Europe.
We are very much thankful to SAI JI and we are nothing without our GURU and our GOD SAI JI.
OM SAI SRI SAI JAYA JAYA SAI. We pray SAI to keep us always at HIS LOTUS FEET.
Suraj
With the blessing of Shri Sai Baba I have come across once incident, which took place on 1st April-01 at Sai Mandli Malleshwaram B'lore where in a miracle happened that I was so depressed in my life I cried in the temple & was about to come out of temple a old person whom I have not seen came to me from inside the temple & gave a photo of Baba's with the flower. I was totally happy this as I had prayed that I should get a flower from his holy feet, which would enlighten my life.
Baba's grace should be there on everybody
Recently I was going through a lot of Guilt feelings and a dilemma over something that I could not forgive myself. I kept praying to Baba and asked him to be with me. I pleaded that I should at least be able to see his picture somewhere in the hall where I stood although I was not at all hopeful of finding one in that place at all.
Suddenly I found myself searching for a document in the shelf which was full of old books and Lo be hold there lay two wonderful pictures of Baba! He is all forgiving and I understood his greatness that very moment. Rangashri Kishore
I have been a typical atheist from my childhood. I never felt the need of worshipping and having Faith in God. I thought all my progress and good life was because of my atheism and rational thinking in life.
On 2nd November 1998 an incident gave birth to a stern, unshakable belief in Shri Shirdi Sai Baba. I felt His Omnipresence.
I provide horse on loan for wedding. On that day I finished my work and was back home in Karol Bagh by 11:30 p.m. I had my dinner, talked to my wife about the day, asked the son about himself and went of to sleep. At quarter past midnight my servant informed me that the mare had broken free of its halter and runaway. It was not traceable.
Immediately, I boarded my motorcycle and went of in search of it. I searched for four hours but all in vain. I had asked more than a score people of the where about of the horse, but every time I drew blank. I became very worried and panicky.
Then out of sheer desperation, I don’t know how, almost involuntarily, I prayed fervently to Shri Shirdi Sai Baba. I pleaded with him and said that "As you got back Chand Patel's horse, get back mine also."
The moment I finished my impassioned appeal. I saw a man, clad simply, in a white dhoti. I asked him about my runaway horse. He directed me to a by-lane and said, "The horse is tied to a past in that lain." To my tense mind he appeared like an Angel or messenger of God. At 3:00a.m. , I entered that deserted lane with some trepidation and hope beating in my heart. I traveled to a pole. My eyes filled with tears of joy and relief. The almighty has compassion for even atheists and non-believers like me. It did not matter to him that the person had been skeptic and had always doubted his powers, his manifestation, and even his very existence.
This true incident was the cornerstone of my life. I now regularly visit Shri Sai Baba temple located at Lodhi road, Chaterpur, New Delhi on Thursdays. Now I fully acknowledge that all progress and prosperity in my life is due to God.
BABA'S TEACHINGS
Shri Sai Baba of Shirdi descended on the earth to lead mankind to the realm of eternity. As the divine mother, He gave his immense love and as the divine father He gave direction to our search for truth. His mission was to make people conscious of their divine nature. The people who follow His teachings and preachings are indeed blessed souls.
Shraddha faith & Saburi patience
Shri Sai Baba of Shirdi descended on the earth to lead mankind to the realm of eternity. As the divine mother He gave his immense love and as the divine father He gave direction to our search for truth.  His mission was to make people conscious of their divine nature. The people who follow His teachings and preaching are indeed blessed souls. The cardinal principles of Sai Path are 'Shraddha' and 'Saburi'.  Sai Baba explicitly asked for these two qualities in His devotees by giving his self-experiential instance that his 'Murshid' or Master asked from him only two pice - one Shraddha and other the Saburi.
Shraddha
'Shraddha' in a Sanskrit word, which has no equivalent in English, at best it can be understood as, faith with love and reverence. Such faith or trust is generated out of conviction, which may not be the result of any rational belief or intellectual wisdom, but a spiritual inspiration.  Baba sowed the seeds of spiritual inspiration in the hearts of people who knew of him.  This Divine inspiration was so instant and profound that they automatically took refuge in Him.
Baba reiterated that steadfast love in God as the gateway to eternity.  He used the instance of mother tortoise to illustrate this point.  The mother - tortoise may be on the other side of the river, whereas her children are on the far side.  She does not transfer food and water to her children by way of her loving glances.  Yet, her loving looks are enough to protect the children. Similarly, people who lovingly look at God get His reciprocity.  God's looks offer peace, protection and prosperity for His children.  Baba's teaching, both direct and indirect explicate the significance of 'Shraddha'.  Baba reiterates the spiritual guidance of Shri Krishna to Arjun - "Who-so ever offer to Me with love or devotion, a leaf, a flower, a fruit or water, that offering of pure love is readily accepted by Me".
Saburi
'Saburi'; is patience and perseverance.  Saburi is a quality needed throughout the path to reach the goal.  This quality must be ingrained in a seeker from day one, least he looses his stride and leaves the path half way.  As a hunter waits patiently and motionlessly for his target a devotee too has to wait patiently for attaining his goal.  There are many trying situations in life.  A test may come in the form of frustration, distress, agony, illness, mishaps, prolonged wait or a loss.  In such moments we should seek support from the Master and hold on him.
If patience means anything it should last till the end, and faith will see us through every turmoil of life.
Purity and Compassion
Purity : Baba never approved of austerity for the sake of austerity. He emphasized the need for inner purification than outer austerities. No amount of physical and external cleansing would serve any purpose if the man remained impure in mind and heart. Therefore, Baba cautioned His devotees not to make austerity as an end itself, least they should indulge in physical mortification. His spiritual radiance brought about such transformation in the seekers that they inclined away from the impurities in word, deed or thought. Baba never preached in this regard, He radiated such influence that absorbed the impure tendencies and prepared the aspirant to keep himself chaste, pure, simple and upright, so as to be fit to receive His Grace.
Compassion : Baba Himself was the epitome of compassion and love. It was this ‘love aspect’ of Him that He embodied Himself to help the suffering lot. The warmth of His divine compassion touched all the creatures equally. Baba often told His devotees, ‘Never turn away anybody from your door, be it a human being or animal’. At several instances He identified Himself with any form like dog, horse, cow or even a fly, to prove His presence in the consciousness of all the creatures.
How to serve the master
Sai Baba made the 'Guru' (the Master), a profound base of the path of devotion.   The spiritual impulse is certainly latent in every individual heart, but it needs great inspiration and compulsion to bring it to the surface.
Baba offered that inspiration through his own account brimming with love for his Master. He said, "How can I describe his (Guru's) love for me? When he was in spiritual trance, I sat and gazed at him. We were both filled with bliss. I cared not to turn my eyes upon anything else.  Night and day I pored upon his face with an ardor of love that banished hunger and thirst. The Guru's absence even for a second made me restless. I meditated on nothing but the 'Guru' and had no goal or object other than the 'Guru'. Wonderful indeed the art of my 'Guru'.  I wanted nothing but the Guru and he wanted nothing but this intense love from me."  The significant feature stressed by Sai Baba in his own example and words is the great importance of developing this devotion to one's Guru.  It is seeing God in the Guru. This was a self-projected ideal of a ‘Guru’ that motivated innumerable seekers who came in contact with Sai Baba.
Complete Surrender
Shri Sai reiterated the essentiality of complete surrender to the ‘Guru’ with his own example when he said pointing to his physical frame, “This body is my house. I am not here. My Guru (Master) has taken me away”.
One who reaches the feet of fully realized spiritual masters, must surrender his body, mind and soul to the Guru. The spiritual benefit accruing to an aspirant of the path is in measure in which the surrender to the Master is done. The more he gives himself the more he receives. Perfect Master say ‘Give us all you have, we will give you all we possess’
Infact, the spiritual mentor works harder to help the aspirant to make a total surrender to himself. At times Baba adopted shock tactics to weaken or eliminate the ego of the seeker.
There was a supreme peerless quality in Baba’s personality which made all those who came in his contact, feel the urge to surrender to him. Sai Baba was in the truest sense a Guru incarnate, who naturally attracted people and they were willing and anxious enough to surrender to him. He said, ‘Keep still and I will do the rest’. The tremendous power of the Guru is working, all that the seeker has to do is to refrain from obstructing it ! This is only possible if the surrender is complete.
Teaching through UDI & Dakshina
Udi the Sacred ash is the end product of the perpetual fire dhuni lit by Sai Baba in Dwarkamai at Shirdi during his life time.Baba taught by this 'Udi' that all the visible phenomena in the world are as transient as the wood turning into ash.  Baba wanted to din into the ears of his devotees the sense of discrimination between the unreal and the real.  The realization that all phenomena in nature are perishable and unworthy of our craving is signified in 'Udi' which Baba distributed to all.  Even today it is customary to partake the sacred ash in the Sai Temples.
Dakshina: Baba would ask for 'Dakshina' from those that come to see him each according to his means.  This was one of the Baba's methods for testing out the devotees attachment to worldly things.
Those days a large number of people thronged Shirdi as Sai Baba had the reputation fulfilling the temporal desires and needs of people who went to see him. This was also well known that Baba asked for 'Dakshina'. Those who had great attachment to money and did not want to part with it for anything, they were kept at bay by the method of 'Dakshina'.
The former (Udi) taught us discrimination (Vivek) and the latter (Dakshina) taught us non-attachment (Vairagya).  These two qualities are most essential on the path of self-realization.
